The proposed Home Renovation Tax Credit is a tax credit program from the federal government for work performed, or supplies used, to renovate your home.

The renovation work must be performed between January 27, 2009 and February 1, 2010. The cost of the renovation including supplies and labour  must be greater than 1,000 dollars but not more than 10,000 dollars.

Be aware that you are well advised to deal with a legitimate renovation business like Goldpaw Ventures Inc.  since we can provide the appropriate documentation you must keep on file to back up your request for the home renovation tax credit you make on your 2009 income tax return.

If you qualify for the program you can get a tax credit of up to $1350.
